ˇ The individual is classified as homeless (Options Villa and Donaldsonville)

ˇ The individual is at least 18-years of age

ˇ The individual has a primary diagnosis of a serious mental illness or a concurrent diagnosis with chemical dependency.

ˇ The individual has sufficient financial resources to maintain basic living costs.

ˇ The individual is capable of participating in and benefiting from our setting and supportive programs.

ˇ The individual is able to demonstrate ability to exhibit control of his/her behavior and is judged not to be a danger to self or others

ˇ The individual demonstrates ability to care for self or others.

ˇ The individual agrees to participate in his/her respective program plan, which may or may not include compliance with a recommended regimen of psychotropic medications.

North Shore Options and Youth Shore Options Alternative School Criteria:

The alternative school North Shore Options

ˇYouth is adjudicated or FINS

ˇ12-17 years of age

ˇA probation officer refers them to the program.
