The
Foundation is licensed and operates an alternative educational
program for adjudicated youth in Covington, Louisiana. Options
Foundation serves as administrator of a grant to the regional
Office of Mental Health to provide family support services and
has administered this grant for the past four years.
The
Department of Transportation has awarded Options Foundation two
grants, one in 1995 and one in 1996 for handicap vans. Both of
these are operational within the City of Baton Rouge for the
Transportation of physically handicapped citizens.
The
state Office of Mental Health of the Department of Health and
Hospitals has awarded Options Foundation a contract to promote
the understanding of mental illness and to reduce the stigma
attached to it. Options Foundation serves as payee for tenants
who need assistance in managing their finances.
Funding
for the alternative school, North Shore Options is by contract
with the Office of Youth Development.
